I wanted to ask about this book. Given that it has sermons on many
different subjects, does anyone know if it includes references in the
sermons to what people should or shouldn't be eating at certain times and
thus a useful though less direct route to information about what was being
eaten at the time?

Info below.

"This book was printed in Venice (Venetiis) in 1550 (M D L). It measures
approx. 28cm x 18cm x 4cm (10" x 7" x 1 1/2"). It is written in Latin. The
woodcut on the title page has a bit of color added by an old hand (possibly
from the time of publishing). This is book 10 from a series of 10 books with
works of St Augustine of Hippo (the series is called "Omnium Operum", or
"Complete Works"). I have not been able to find another copy of this series
located in any library or collection in North America. There are 325
numbered leaves (650 printed pages) plus the blanks at the front and back.
This book is in excellent and complete original condition. The binding is
still tight with no loose pages, and the vellum is in fairly good shape. It
even has some decoractions stencilled into the page edges. This volume
contains sermons on the gospels of Matthew, Luke and John, as well as
sermons on many other subjects.

I own a few more volumes from this 10 volume set, and will be listing a
couple more in the near future. I'm also open to inquiries. "
