Presumably, champagne grape refers to a grape which is used to make
champagne (or they resemble "bright little bubbles of champagne," if you
think the advertising is knowledgeable). Champagne is a blend of three
different varieties of grape, pinot noir, pinot meunier, and chardonnay.
What you are getting is the chardonnay grape (or something related). The
similarity of the Zante grape to the pinot meunier is probably why it gets
called a champagne grape.
