I suppose I ought to explain why I have been off and on
the various lists this winter.
My husband and I coach Science Olympiad for the local
middle school/jr high. Our son returned this year as one of 2
ninth graders for their 4th year on the team. He did a lot
of the build events this year, like the trebuchet.
The team won the regional invitational tourney in February
for the first time. Then on Saturday they won the Regional contest
which means now they are going to state in 6 weeks. This is
big because no team from here has ever made it to state.
So now we are coaching and getting ready for State and I am
getting ready also for my trip to England for the Leeds Conference
on April 1st.
Busy, busy season around here.
