Oh.  My bad, sorry.  My brain locked on "utter" and morphed "sow" to  
"cow".

Interesting use of "utter" - I hadn't come across it before.  My copy  
of Webster's doesn't provide that definition, but the word is  
obviously in common use with that meaning.  Anyone have an OED handy?
