He hasn't lived there for some time either, He has gone back a few times, but not in at least 10 years. It was a bit of a culture shock when I met his parents. My parents are from new York and both were raised very "formal" So when I met his "mama" She hugged me and put me right to work in the kitchen. Which wasn't bad except that well I like my veggies to actually look like what they are suppose to be, not a green mush :)
All in all, his family is great. I love hearing stories from his father about how he grew up without electricity or running water. Makes me appreciate growing up in Redondo Beach.
See you at Crown maybe?

I didn't know he was from home! (o'course, both of us got out, too
) We'll have to sit down and compare notes at some point! I
haven't actually -lived- there since '68, but I visited over
Christmas and was reminded by family of what "Southern Hospitality"
really means, and was warmly welcomed by the folks of Iron Mountain
when I visited a meeting.
