> Greetings unto the list,
> Here I have 2 nice little pie pumpkins-purchased about a week ago sitting on my counter. Since thanksgiving is still a few weeks away I was wondering if I can go ahead and cut them up, bake them, and then mash them and freeze it until it comes time to make pies.
> So, my question-
> Does cooked pumpkin goo freeze well?
If it doesn't, my future pies are in jeopardy. ;-)
Yes, cooked pumpkin freezes wonderfully well. Just make sure it's an
airtight seal so it doesn't dry out.
Margaret FitzWilliam, who might get to bake this weekend
