Ever put ketchup on something? What do you think ketchup is?

Hmmm. My first impression was to agree with Chas. However, I do like
ketchup, although I often find it bland. However, this sounds like a
redaction question. My first thought of "vinegar stewed tomatoes" was
of mostly whole tomatoes, or somewhat squished tomatoes, floating in
vinegar or at least covered in vinegar, similar to those peppers in
vinegar you can buy in jars. I think of ketchup as being much more
processed and pulverized with more stuff added such as sweeteners and
maybe a thickener.

Perhaps this is just an example of two people with two different
redactions for the same ingredients. There really wasn't a recipe
given. Or maybe my idea of ketchup creation is wrong.
