[Sca-cooks] rose things

One of the new garnishing techniques we use this season for The Pampered  
Chef makes a rose out of apple slices.  Cut the apple in half.  With  the cut 
side down, cut the apple into thin slices (from top to bottom).   Microwave the 
apple until tender (2-3 minutes).  Take one slice and roll it  in the way you 
would the marzipan.  Repeat with additional layers.
While the microwave is not period, a similar result can be managed from a  
poached or steamed apple.
