I would like to have long racks of little cork topped hand thrown clay
containers, but .. labelling would be an issue (I'm not so good at
labelling and keeping labels current). I've also got 3 shelves of one
entire wall cabinet that are devoted just about solely to just herbs,
spices, etc. So theres a LOT of containers to keep track of.

As a compromise I've got many of the old "spice island" spice bottles with
the labells soaked off, filled with the current spice/herb whatever, and
then labelled on bottle AND lid in magic marker.

For my toolbox (aka travelling spice box) I use some of the glass plunger
lid jars, and then several film canisters (film canisters are labelled on
the lid only). These items often get changed out and refreshed, so I'm not
too worried about quantity, just quality.

Cheers,
Maggie
