My near-sister, Hauviette, posted this to the MK Cooks list faster than I could compse something witty, so I'm going to fwd her note in lieu of composing one myself. Please let me know if people have any questions. I've been working crazy crazy hours at work, so my apologies for not answering any direct on-list questions. I'm still trying to find the answer to the spoon maker question! -- Iasmin

Dear Fellow Cooks,

I have had a few enqiries as to whether or not the
Cooks Symposium is going to go on this coming
December. Mistress Iasmine and I, along with Mistress
Siobhan had spent time this summer discussing the
possibility of making the event a bi-annual one. We
have have several class repeats(mine being one of
them) and we felt that to give it a break for one
season might allow our cooks to develop some work they
want to share next Winter.

Taking into consideration our personal committments to
job, family and life, Mistress Iasmine and I have
found that we are unable to pull the symposium
together. The amount of work that goes into soliciting
for teachers, organizing classes, charity donations,
event site and teaching ourselves, we felt that we
couldn't do it justice this year.

Considering this I would encourage anyone who wishes
to attend a cook's symposium to attend the upcoming
Cook's And Bard's event in Ealdomere or the event in
Calontir in April. I believe this will strengthen our
skills, broaden our knowledge and result in a better
community of cooks.

For those of you who are dissapointed I apologize. We
don't intend on abandoning the event. As a caveat, I
will explain that the MK Cook's symposium has been
running for something like 8 years, and it has many
more years to come.
