[Sca-cooks] Volunteering in a feast kitchen

Don't think I was doing anything silly, just kind of standing out of the
way and every few moments would ask if there was something I could help
with - without an answer. Again, if they didn't need me, they could have
said so and I would have been happy to leave the kitchen and enjoy the
rest of the event. Maybe no harm was intended, but being ignored, which
I feel I was, is more harmful then being told to go away.

It bothered me so much that when they asked for help for cleanup after
feast, I wasn't inclined to volunteer. Had they told me my help wasn't
needed during prep, I certainly would have volunteered to help with
cleanup. Perhaps I should have done it anyway to show good faith, but
that's hind sight - too bad I don't have glasses for that! :)
