Maggie, just to be sure, was the small package of Jello a 4-oz box of flavored Jello or a packet of unflavored gelatin (which is only a little more than a Tablespoon)? This sounds like a very easy recipe, but I want to be sure I read it correctly. I am assuming the Jello adds an additional flavor to these cookies, if it is the latter.

Here's one for holiday colored sugar cookies. Use the red/green or blue for
Christmas, the orange/green/purple for Halloween, etc.

JELLO COOKIES
1 1/2 c. butter
1 sm. pkg. Jello
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking powder

Beat butter, Jello, sugar and eggs until fluffy. Mix dry ingredients
together and stir in. Refrigerate dough for 1 hour if possible. Roll walnut
sized balls of dough in sugar and bake on greased cookie sheet for 8
minutes at 375 degrees.

Regards,
Maggie
