[Sca-cooks] info request OOP

I saw what looked like a nice recipe in Saveur Magazine, but they called  for 
2 tablespoons of crushed tomatoes. Not particularly wanting to think about  
what to do with the rest of the can (even if a very small can is used) could I  
possibly substitue some tomato paste instead? (I have that in the toothpaste  
tube...)
    Devra (just wondering) - um, it's a Japanese  chicken curry, AFAIR
