What she said.  The texture and taste of processed paste will be different.
Should not take 3 minutes to pulverize the plum tomato or two that would be
needed for the 2 tablespoons.

If you do not want to use the fresh tomato solution, though, the tomato
paste would probably be an adequate subsitute.
