Good advice! The last time I had a cold (20+ years ago) I went into a Numero Uno Pizzaria for lunch. It was about 2:00 PM and I guess the cooks were bored because when we ordered garlic on the pizza it came piled in garlic! It was delicious and when i walked out of the restaurant I no longer had the cold and it never came back.
 
Of course, I've also burned a cold out of my throat and into my head with Cajun food...

I often put several slices of fresh ginger in my chicken soup for a little Asian twist.
