well, it seemed i did the pork roast anyway. lovely
pork roast studded with fresh garlic, sprinkled with
rosemary, sherry, salt and pepper
pan roasted carrots
mushroom sauce from pan drippings, sherry and chicken
broth (not enough pan drippings)
leftover garlic/sour cream mashed potatoes
leftover spinach with nutmeg
sauted granny smith apples w/ dried cherries
rather odd, and bits of leftover along with the new.
probably not a bad philosphy for new years day.
caught the husband later gnawing on a rib bone which was
then offered to the feline royalties/dieties to fight
over. the earmark of a successful dinner.
back to work tomorrow after 12 days holiday leave
