Aldyth asked:.
<<< Does anyone have a good source for rabbit for a feast? I have
been able to
find it for around $6 a pound before shipping. It seems that the 100
odd that
live on my back 40 are under 4 feet of snow and prefer to stay that
way. The
feast we are looking at is not until April and we really would like
to do
rabbit. >>>

My local grocery store has frozen rabbit, already prepped not under 4
feet of snow, but they usually only have a few at a time. You might
see if they can order some for you. Or check with any specialty
butcher shops in your area. Adamantius wrote a good article on how
to build up a relationship with and how to work with such shops often
yielding good benefits for both you and the shop. That is something
that has to be done over time though and you probably don't have time
before April. However, I wanted to bring this up again in case it
might help others.
