This looks like a good opportunity to get some photos of people in garb
making or eating historic foods and get them into a calendar. If pictures
are taken in a cloudy bright area to produce good color in the photo and
positioned to exclude modern items from the photos, it would increase
their chances of being chosen. Likely they will do this next year as
well, so keep some in mind throughout other events in the next year.

Some ideas:
*Assemble a table of people in spiffy garb who have been served a course
that will phtograph well. Ask people to remove vision glasses for photo.
*Seige or iron chef contest steps done over open fire.
*Display of ingredients or dishes in the style of period food paintings.
*Person in garb in a herb or period food garden or with baskets of
harvested food.
*A picnic in garb
*Dancers near a period dessert table
*Subtleties
*Hardboiled eggs dyed with period available food dyes
*A Menzel Hungry Planet style photo of a real or pseudo family in garb of
one era and place and their food for one week from one era, place, and
week. Food should be in the form it would be in during that season/week.
Matching era and place style containers desirable or periodish containers
if matching ones not available. See examples from book at:
