I would also have to say a steam kettle and floor mixer.  Both can be used for more than Pasta.  Also, if you do a lot of prep ahead of time, a chill blaster can be really nice.  Instead of taking up all your freezer space with foods trying to get down to temp, pop the pan in and in a short time, it's down past the danger zone.
