The Equinox is an astronomical event, which occurs around the 22nd/23rd - it
can't be in different months!

There is a difference in when the seasons are deemed to change by various
administrations, but that is a separate issue.

Incidently, I think you'll find the Autumnal Equinox is in March in Perth,
Darwin, Sydney and New Zealand. We are just about to come up to the Spring
Equinox here...
