Completely unrelated to pumpkin pie, I think favorite dessert is
situational:

On a hot, muggy, summer afternoon, nothing beats egg custard flavored
shaved ice (except perhaps blue flavored ice).

On a hot, muggy, summer night, softserve vanilla icecream covered with
chocolate jimmies.

For breakfast, french apple pie. (You know, the one with just the right
balance of spices, apples, raisins, and icing on top)

With tea -- homemade gingersnaps -- as hot as you can stand them.

When chocolate overload is a factor, chocolate bombe cake (the one with
three layers of different types of chocolate cake, chocolate mousse icing
of two types, chocolate fondant, and chocolate buttons down the side -- and
a touch of chocolate sauce, just because)

At an SCA feast? I like fruit and cheese.

toodles, margaret
