I lost both of my parents to cancer, and have survived the disease three
times myself.  Yes, you have my good thoughts and prayers for your father.
Also, in case you're interested, you can go to www.cancer.org and locate a
support group for families/caregivers of cancer patients.  Also, if he has
any questions, there is a hotline available 24 x 7 just for people to ask
questions and discuss their fears, etc.
All of these things can help out.  I know how awful it is to go through
something like this...from both standpoints...so I understand!  Know that I
will be thinking of both you and your father and hoping that will turn out
