[Sca-cooks] Period Japanese or other oriental soup recipes

Carrageen [not sure of spelling] an Atlantic seaweed IIRC, is used as a
thickener in some recipes for soups and stews.. also in certain crafts- like
paper marbling. A google search may help also.
