[Sca-cooks] Why *X* and not *Y*?

In the august company I am almost ashamed to air my ignorance, but isn't pepperoni a pork product? I've never liked it on pizza so I honestly don't know.

My oldest granddaughter refuses to eat pork, says pigs are dirty animals. She also refuses any kind of pizza other than pepperoni. Go figure.?
