I am off traveling so while I have the computer (the teen is asleep  
yet) and the internet is working, I shall
wish everyone happy holidays.

McGee. I think they both cover it.

It turns up as one of the breads used when people crossed the plains  
to  the west. I think it's written up in those books as well.
