Ansteorra permits vigils for its Knights, Pelicans (service), and Laurels.  This elevation to Laurel will make Gunthar a triple peer -- Knight, Royal and Laurel.  He's been through this before and wanted something a little low key.  And I've attended other elevations where the honoree wanted the same thing, and no one thought it lessened the importance of the event.
   
  The reception at Gulf War is basically a party for those of you who cannot attend Steppes Warlord in May and want the opportunity to visit with him.  Things will be slightly more formal during the weekend of his elevation.
