The responses only demonstrate how ingrained the coffee habit is in the US. 
Far be it from me to deny anyone their caffeinated tipple, I have my own 
coffee habit to contend with.

 I also agree that some of this conversation has gotten out of hand
from a rather interesting note that Bear provided. I never knew that
coffee was considered part of religious ceremonies outside of the
