[Sca-cooks] Help - Mastic Gum

While working on the Byzatine Bread recipe, I did get my hands on some
mastic. The first batch I made with it a couple of weeks ago came out good
and I found my little spice grinder (coffee grinder) worked well reducing it
to a powder. So tonight I go to fetch the small bottle of mastic, and found
the powder had compacted and it was essentially a hard glob. I manage to get
out enough for my recipe and I thought to myself, “I wonder if this
dissolves in hot water”. What I found was the _gum_ properties of the mastic
instead and no hint of it dissolving in the water. Well now I got a glass
bowl and a table knife with the mastic stuck very well to it. *urgs* Any
ideas on how to clean up this mess?
