I never said it could not be done, I just suggest getting it from 
safer sources. Regardless, there is a level of risk with parasites 
and pathogens.

All of us have our levels of acceptable risk, personally, if I had 
trapped or killed a healthy animal, I wouldn't have that much of a 
problem with it. Road kill, I am not so sure about, and anything that 
might be questionable, I would be very careful in handling it.

Not to mention that the domestically raised pigeon just tends to be 
more tender and tastes better (in my opinion).
