[Sca-cooks] Marzipan bees

The most recent issue of Martha Stewart Living (June 2008) has marzipan bees
on a beehive shaped cake.  The bees have a marzipan body and wings of sliced
almonds.  These bees are really cute.

(There's a typo in the table of contents and the article for this really
begins on  p. 169)

 

The cake mold that MSL used is out of production,  but there are some
slightly smaller ones made by Nordicware that are similar.

The cake has OOP ingredients, but the bees might be fun on edible flowers or
faux flowers.
