Well, here in "downtown Caid", it seems to be a novel idea. Every 
single feast I have seen has been associated with another event, 
sometimes even as almost an afterthought. I've never seen one in my 
limited SCA experience that was done solely with the feast as main event.

I posited it on my baronial, kingdom and cooking guild lists to see 
what interest there might be. So far it is a mixed bag. Some think it 
is a good idea others are lukewarm about it. Nobody that has yet 
commented has given me a comment like "it will never work..." so I am 
going to give it further thought and see where it might lead.
