[Sca-cooks] Okay, anybody doing anything unusual for Thanksgiving?

Would you be willing to share your recipe for the dumplings that go in the
sauerkraut and sausage dish? I would be grateful, even if my husband would
rather be elsewhere.

Thank you!

well, i did make the brilliant decision this year to make
two meals out of all the things i try to stuff into one
humonstrous meal. more like cooking two sunday dinners.

his, thanksgiving: turkey, corn bread and oyster dressing,
sweet potatoes with the ubiquitous marshmallow fluff,
green bean casserole, home made cranberry sauce and gravy.

mine, sunday: pork roast, scalloped potatoes, saurkraut
w/ sausage and dumplings, roasted root veggies, and spiced
apples (hopefully the red ones - i'm still looking),

boy, it's going to be easier than trying to make all the
favorites at once for one meal. and both meals make for
great toastie sandwiches with leftovers.
