"Steel Bonnets".   Wild west with claymores... lots of cattle, horse and

Thank you for this suggestion. Unfortunately, it looks a little bit  
late for my 1150s Anglo-Norman Yorkshire persona, but the your  
comments and the reviews make it sound like an interesting book.  
Perhaps I can project some of this backwards. Afterall, I always said  
it was the Scots stealing my sheep. Now I can know. :-)

It would be nice to find more about the daily life in 12th C York  
shire but for now I'll settle for what I can get.
