I add a tiny pitch of salt too, but it's all just preferences...
Sometime Apple Cider Vinegar or Malt Vinegar makes a better sauce than plain
white vinegar...

My mum taught me to chop the leaves finely with a teaspoon or two of
sugar, then add vinegar.
