I know that in Elizabethan times, the manchet size was described as "...everie loaf weigheth 8 ounces, into the oven, and 6 ounces out." Does anyone know if the ounces mentioned in Elizabethan times is the same weight that we use today when we say the words "weighs 8 ounces"? In Service, Katheline
