[Sca-cooks] Storing eggs through Lent, WAS Re: Hi again everyone!!!

When I lived in England- 1990's - grocery stores kept eggs on a 
shelf-not refridgerated, nor did most home have eggs in the fridge- 
mostly sat on the counter in cute baskets.
