[Sca-cooks] an interesting take on old cookbooks

Gherkins & Tomatoes (http://gherkinstomatoes.com/) has a post today 
entitled "Writing Culinary History: Going to the Sources, Nourishing 
People, Feeding Souls" - everything from where you can get period 
information (not just printed cookbooks, as many on this list know) to 
questioning whether people today actually *use* the recipes in the 
magazines and cookbooks they buy.
