Nichola asked about the horses that the medieval knight rode.

If the Morgan was an American breed, then no, that wouldn't have been  
the horse.

However, it is because of that not being the breed, not because it was  
a small horse. The "said horse
is to[o] small..." isn't the case within limits. The medieval knight  
did not ride what today would be a draft horse.
