Down here in Florida we have issues with Quaker Parakeets.  <snip>

Hi Daniel,

Down here we have a recipe for Cockatoos and Magpies that might just do for
you Quaker Parakeets.

It goes like this.

Prepare the bird in the usual way, removing feathers etc.
Carefully place bird in a large saucepan, and cover with water.
Add a large stone.
Bring to the boil and simmer until the stone is soft.
When the stone is soft, throw out the bird, and eat the stone.
