This recipe is a combination of 2!

First, you will want to create the cranberry sauce and here is that part-

  FRESH CRANBERRY SAUCE

*INGREDIENTS:*

1 cup sugar
1 cup water
1 12-ounce package Ocean Spray® Fresh or Frozen Cranberries

*DIRECTIONS:*

Combine sugar and water in a medium saucepan. Bring to boil; add
cranberries, return to boil. Reduce heat and boil gently for 10 minutes,
stirring occasionally. Cover and cool completely at room temperature.
Refrigerate until its time to add to the cake batter.

Second part of the recipe, the cake!


Philly Pound Cake

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
1 8 ounce package Philadelphia  Brand cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup butter or margarine
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
4 eggs
2 cups sifted cake flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
Whipped cream

Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Beat sugar, cream cheese, butter and vanilla
at medium speed with mixer until well blended.

Add eggs, mixing at low speed until well blended.

Gradually add sifted flour and baking powder,mixing at low speed until
blended.

*THEN FOLD IN YOUR CRANBERRY MIXTURE!*

Pour in to greased and floured 9 by 5 inch oaf pan.

Bake 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Cool 5 minutes; remove from pan.
Cool completely on wire rack.

Serve with a dollop of whipped cream or plain with a small glass of your
favorite cordial!
