"Food for Fifty" doesn't have an equivalency chart containing both
forms of cumin seed, but they've got both whole caraway seed and
ground cumin listed as 4Tbs per ounce, so using the same amount of
ground cumin (apart from the toasting issue) is probably reasonably
close.
