Fast Food was on the streets in the 15th Century at least. We had pies
in London filled with pork etc and regulations concerning the quality.
Men playing cards, which was illegal in Spain, ordered 'tapas,' finger
foods from local bars said to have originated from a piece of serrano
ham covering (tapando) a glass of wine to prevent Sevillan flies from
getting drunk while being delivered like pizza today at the destination
of the players.
