[Sca-cooks] Extra dried fruits

Greetings!
 
Well, the feast I'm cooking for is this Saturday (first one I've ever cooked for)!  I'm pre-cooking, chopping, mixing and gathering this week.
 
I find I've purchased too many dried fruits, mostly dried dates and would like to add a nice stewed fruit dish in order to use them up. I am asking if someone has a favorite recipe they could recommend?
