[Sca-cooks] propane slow-cooker, was high-altitude cooking

Hi, I'm catching up on the List (only 548 more messages to go!) and saw the
conversation about the Coleman propane crock pot.

Our barony has one. At the lowest setting, you get a nice roiling boil (sea
level). We couldn't get it to reduce the temperature sufficiently to use as
a crock pot but have found that it's great for anything that needs to be
boiling hot - and for heating up seal-a-meal bags.

It's not a fuel-waster, either. But as for a slow-cooker, well - that hasn't
happened yet and we bought ours a couple of years ago when it first came on
the market.
