[Sca-cooks] OT / OOP - mystery object

Some additional research courtesy of my partner here at House Dreamwind of the Shadowed Moon:

 

Most likely candidate is some variation on a pot, pan, or lid lifter.  The "teeth" are probably intended to engage into a matching (inverse) set attached to / molded into the item being lifted.  In particular, she could find no match to albeit some similarities with commercial-grade pizza pan tools.

 

Speculation:  the pan being lifted may have "gear teeth" attached / molded in order to be moved through a process or rotated under a heat source.
