WHAT were these guys (and gals?) eating? Seems easier to day what was  
left than what they didn't eat. I tend of think of a vegan diet as  
being extremely limited and if not done with care, a good recipe for  
malnutrition.

For myself, I would find a vegetarian menu to be tortuous. I assume  
these folks weren't doing this for just forty days, but for much  
longer.My admiration goes out to those of you on this list who have  
been vegetarians or who have even just accomplished a season of Lenten  
restrictions.
