What I have learned is that one does not always get the amount the package
says it contains.
Bought 1- 2 1/2 cup and 2- 1/2 cup packages of slivered almonds.
Measured their contents and found the 2 1/2cp was really a little over 2
cups but not enough to be 2 1/4. One 1/2 cup package was less then a half
cup so adding to the 2 "1/8" came to 2 1/2. Other 1/2 cp. package actually
came to 1/2 cp.
Ground the slivers to a meal consistency, any more would have made it into
wet sand texture.
3 cps. slivers = just under 3 cps. meal, loose or about 2 3/4 cps. compacted
or 14 dry oz.
Tomorrow, Amaretti
May try an altered version of pecans, brown sugar and rum extract later as I
have a whole lot of brown sugar to use up, plus a lot of Georgia pecans.

Have a great weekend and thank you for the help,

De
