Digby's chock full of recipes he snitched (presumably with permission, most of the time) from others. Sometimes the name will contain a clue to the provenance, as in "Cherry Wine The Countess of Bath's Way" (or some equivalent phrase), or "The Small Made Made Weak As I Did For the Queen Mother"... mostly it seems to be a sort of frame of reference.
