Strawberries are naturally in season between June and August.  You can get a 
little more range on the backend by choosing the right varietals.  You can 
extend the harvest into May by being further South.  You can have them year 
round with a greenhouse.

According to James H. LaRue, pomegranates (being grown in California) are in 
season September to February.
