[Sca-cooks] Edible Bugs

Our insectarium here in Montreal used to hold regular bug tastings. I don't
know if they still do them. What I was told there (mind you, it was not the
cooks speaking, but another employee) is that you can use the regular
insects that you can buy for feeding lizards, but you have to wait until
they reproduce, and eat only the second generation (and subsequent), because
you don't know in which conditions the insects were kept before they got to
you.

They also sold a book about this very subject.
